Ingredients

scaled from 3 servings
  • 13 1/2 oz frozen mixed berries
  • 2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 1/4 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/4 tbsp almond butter
  • 3/4 tbsp ground flaxseed

Method (tap to check — screen stays awake)

  1. Toast the oats and coconut in a dry skillet over medium 4 to 5 minutes, stirring, until golden and fragrant. Cool them on a plate so they stay crunchy.
  2. Put the frozen berries, banana, yogurt, flaxseed and milk in a blender and start on low, using the tamper or stopping to scrape down the sides.
  3. Blend on high 60 to 90 seconds until it is as thick as soft-serve. Add milk only a tablespoon at a time and only if the blades stall; more than that and you have a drink, not a bowl.
  4. Taste and blend in the honey if the berries were sharp.
  5. Spoon into 4 chilled bowls, top with the toasted oats, coconut and a drizzle of almond butter, and eat immediately before it melts.
