1. What MealPrep is
MealPrep is an AI meal-planning service. We generate meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists from the dietary profile you give us. We optionally send those grocery lists to Instacart for shopping.
You must be 18 years or older to create an account. We collect your birth year at signup to enforce this. MealPrep is not designed for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn an account is held by someone under 18, we will delete it.
Pro plans may include children aged 13-17 by parental invite. Adults on a Pro plan can invite minors aged 13-17 via email. By sending the invite, the inviting adult attests under penalty of perjury that they are the parent or legal guardian of the named minor, and consents on the minor's behalf to MealPrep's processing of the minor's information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Child accounts have restricted features (no billing access, no invitation rights, no marketing email) and may be deleted at any time by the inviting adult or by the minor themselves. We do not knowingly accept accounts for children under 13 in any form.
2. Account & subscription
- Pro (covers up to two adults with full access; parents may also invite children aged 13-17) is an auto-renewing subscription available as monthly or annual. Monthly subscriptions may include a discounted first month when a promotion is running (see /pricing for current amounts); annual subscriptions renew at the listed annual rate from day one. All periods auto-renew until you cancel. See /pricing for current amounts.
- Refunds: 7 days on monthly plans (full refund), 30 days on annual plans (prorated — we refund the unused portion of the period at the daily rate). To request a refund, email [email protected]. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are refunded under that store's own policy — see In-app purchases below.
- Auto-renew disclosure: paid subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Settings → Account; access continues to the end of the period.
- In-app purchases. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is processed and managed by Apple or Google under their own terms, and their refund policies and billing controls apply (manage or cancel it in your App Store / Play account). Subscriptions started on the web are billed by us through our payment processor.
3. Not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice
MealPrep is an informational food-and-cooking tool. AI-generated meal plans, recipes, nutrition estimates, and any calorie/macro or activity figures are general information only — they are NOT medical, dietary, allergen, nutritional, or fitness advice, and they are starting points for cooking, not prescriptions.
Do not rely on MealPrep content in place of a qualified professional. If you have specific dietary needs or restrictions, allergies, or other health considerations — or you are planning meals during pregnancy or for children — verify with a registered dietitian, physician, or other relevant professional before acting. You assume all risk when cooking and eating from MealPrep-generated content.
The same applies to any activity or calorie features — activity goals, suggested targets, and calorie/macro tracking are general wellness information, not medical, dietary, or fitness advice. Consult a qualified professional before acting on them.
4. Allergen verification is your responsibility
Grocery items are sent to retailers as search terms, not exact product IDs. The product that ends up in your cart may differ from what we intended. Product ingredients also change without notice. Check every label before eating, especially if anyone in your household has a serious allergy.
5. AI accuracy disclaimer
The AI may produce recipes that are wrong, unsafe, culturally insensitive, or that don't match your profile. We provide tools to correct, rate, and re-generate; we don't guarantee accuracy or suitability for any purpose.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the service to generate prohibited content (illegal substances, harmful instructions, etc.)
- Try to extract API keys or other users' data
- Resell access to our AI plans
- Hammer the API beyond reasonable single-household use
7. Data & privacy
See Privacy Policy for what we collect, who we share with (our AI provider, optional sub-processors), and how to export or delete your data.
8. Liability limitations
We provide the service "AS IS". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to food allergies triggered by AI-generated content, adverse reactions to food prepared from AI-generated content, or financial loss from misordered groceries.
9. Termination
You can delete your account anytime at /account/delete. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms. Paid users get a prorated refund if we terminate without cause.
10. Changes
We can update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
